Several years ago we had auctions during our annual meeting weekend (first Saturday in August) to raise funds for our efforts to save our cabin community. One year I designed and created a crocheted afghan for the auction. My mother won the bid and had it backed with fabric so it could hang on her wall. Unfortunately, she has moved to a Skilled Nursing facility where fabric wall hangings are not allowed due to flammability issues.
I would like to offer this afghan to anyone who will make a donation to the Mineral King District Association. It's in mint condition, comes with a rod to hang it, and measures about 4 feet high by 5 feet wide. Or, you can take the backing off and use it as a blanket.
If you are interested, please contact me at Sharon@mineralking.net. I would prefer to hand it to the highest bidder at the annual meeting this year (August 4) but am willing to ship it if you'll pay the cost.
Thank you for your help in giving this afghan an appropriate home!
