10:30 a.m. Mineral King District Association annual meeting at the Barton (WMK 13) cabin.
12:30 p.m. Potluck lunch at the Dink-Inn (WMK 3) cabin.
"My sister and I were up at MK last weekend and this last week and we did not find the road bad at all. The road is indeed washed out above the ranger station at cold springs, but it is not bad at all. We had no trouble. It was generally the same as last year. People should not be scared away.
Also, I have two extra copies of the Thomas Porter manuscript “The Silver Rush at Mineral King, California, 1873-1882.” Do you know of anyone who would like to purchase a copy? This is the third printing from the MKPS. I don’t need these extra copies."

Mineral King Meetings, August 2-3
There are a lot of activities planned for our annual meeting weekend! Please make a note of these important events. I look forward to seeing you all there!
Friday, August 2, 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. The annual Ladies' Tea will take place at the Dink-Inn (WMK cabin #3). Our gracious hostess, Linda Hengst, encourages all ladies to come and, if you can, bring finger food. Hot water and tea will be provided.
Friday, August 2, 5:00 p.m. will be the West Mineral King Water & Improvement Association at the Ewen/Maze Cabin (WMK #27).
Saturday, August 3, 10:30 a.m. is our annual Mineral King District Association meeting behind the Barton Cabin (WMK #13). Logs are at a premium, so please bring your own chair.
Saturday, August 3, 12:00 noon will be our Potluck Lunch at the Dink-Inn (WMK #3). Some picnic tables will be available, but if you can, bring your own chairs, tables, utensils. Drinks, paper plates, napkins, cups provided. EMK, SC, CC residents bring salads, desserts, breads. WMK residents bring hot dishes.
I hope you all can make it. It's a wonderful time to get reacquainted with your fellow cabin community members!

Confirmed! Both the Atwell Mill and Cold Spring Campgrounds are now open for campers to enjoy the high rivers and snow-surrounded lakes. Enjoy!
