Breaking News! Yesterday (June 15) I heard from a cabin resident that the West Mineral King water system has been flushed and charged, and is now on and running. Good news!
However, I don't believe the Cold Springs campground is open yet. Confirm by calling Park headquarters at Ash Mountain or the Mineral King Ranger Station.
The snow is melting fast, the river is high, the road is open and clear to the end (but watch for potholes), and the summer season is on!
