Brief update from Glenn Cunningham of the Woodshed:
Doug and I went up Tues (5/24) to open the Woodshed; County portion of the road is in pretty good condition; the Park has swept their portion of debris and sand/gravel washed off the fire areas, but in the process they also seemed to have swept off a LOT of areas of the road surface asphalt leaving lots of shallow potholes; the road above Silver City has not been maintained and there are lots of ruts and potholes - drive slow and cautiously! WMK water was turned on on Wednesday morning but is not yet certified to be potable. Both campgrounds are open. The Ranger Station is open. It’s beautiful up here.
